    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  36. Amix of salty air from the bigger seas and a sunset reflecting through it

    ReplyDelete
  37. yes it has that look about it - like something out of a cildrens story book or those beautifully illustrated comics.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I am always wanting to take stones back from the beach - so many different shapes or textures. They almost always need to be kept wet to retain the beauty of why you picked them up in the first place! I will send you a photo of a rocky part oif the beach for you to sift through with your eyes!! :)

  39. yes!! was at the end of a storm - still a strong surge in the waves - all the local kids just love it!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I have seen photos now and then of Vancouver Island and it does have some similarities!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. It was a beautiful cloud formation - more so when the late red sun reflected through them!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hahaha yes - always fun to find somethingb like this among the set of shots. This particular morning the sun shone through all the breaking waves so I shot many hoping to get something special. This one was not what I was shooting for but is interesting!

  43. T my nhis was much more spectacular in real life but the camera did not capture it! I like it anyway!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. yes it captures me sometimes - it is watching the master sculpter at work - seeing how it forms the shapes with it's wave action!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Apart from the unusual cloud it is the colours that amase me too. I photographed this cloud before sunset and the effects of the late sun toiward the end f my walk was an added bonus - it is like somethig out of an animated Studio Ghibli movie.

    ReplyDelete
  46. was unale to get the whole formation into one shot but might try and join the two photos into a pano - but I think I used wide angle which makes it difficult!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I know this sounds terrible but I do nothing to protect it really except give it a wipe over but I also feel it better not to treat it with kid gloves.

    ReplyDelete
  48. yeah - frozen cameto mind as I opened this on the screen the first time. If I name a photo it is always wuth the words that come to mind first - even if it does ot seem to fit!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. yes - so often I try to get these shots but the shutter mises the moment!! This one came out good!

    ReplyDelete
  50. at least here it is warm in such weather - mostly anyway!! There is nothing nicer than to walk in the middle of a storm on a beach or overlooking the ocean!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yes this was a beautiful cloud. I find clouds can be difficult to capture as the eye sees it. This one looked very japaneses to me - chinese maybe!

    ReplyDelete
  52. yes!!!!! But more like an eskimo on holiday in Hawaii :)

    ReplyDelete
