Wild Sea
The Sea, yesterday just before dusk, was a bit on the wild side. Not overly huge waves but a fair bit of power and extra surge in them. The photo above I think captures the wildness I saw when I got to that part of the beach. Because the sea is constantly moving and no wave looking at all like another I had to shoot a whole series of shots, maybe as many as 30 hoping I could capture the wildness that had first caught my eye. When all the waves are doing their thing at the same time as my finger is pressing the button is mostly a matter of luck. as it is hard to line up a shot and study the waves at the same time. Anyway I have put together some photos of the ocean taken over the last few days for those of you who enjoy ocean seascapes

Reflection
Luke 21:25-28
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

ReplyDeletebeautiful color and well captured wave...I like the addition of the scripture too
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and wild indeed. The way I took the photo's down on the beach in December too, you simply cannot capture it in one shot. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteand the signs are here, they are all over...................the day is drawing near.
ReplyDeletethank you Keith
Amen.
Beautiful shot, can certainly see the power of the waves.
ReplyDeleteIf only we could have a camera in our eyes, to really capture what our eyes and minds are seeing. The ocean is beautiful, dangerous, mesmerizing. The scripture is also very fitting.
ReplyDeleteOne can shoot waves for hours...there is always one wave coming which seems greater than the previous ones. I like your sea :-)
ReplyDeletehey Cinna - nice you hear em too! I hear them 24/7 - nice constant rythem to have in my life!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! nice you say so and really like it that you like the scripture included!
ReplyDeleteYes - there are so many photos I have of the sea and for every one I like there are 20 - 30 that I took around it. Thanks !!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mitch!!I must photograph the sea more tha any oher subject yet there is always something about it that draws me to do so. I must put together an blog and album of my most favourite sea photos!
ReplyDeleteThats so true - I remember waiting 20 minutes for the largest wave to come again so I could get a photo of it crashing over a particular rock that only the biggest waves could reach. It was a rainy day too and had to shelter behind a large rock to keep most of the waether off me while aia waited - was well worth it too!
ReplyDeleteyes more often they differ but too sometimes the camera has the best result!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photo Keith. I am now going to look at the rest.
ReplyDeleteIt's been years since I have seen the ocean
