NEXT SHOT WEEK 2 -----TECHNIQUE- wide angle shots , THEME--landscapes ~

The Boatshed - Across the River

I spend a few hours with my camera on a walk yesterday and then this morning when I dropped my daughter down to the shops in Laurieton (the next town to Bonny Hills) I spent some time on the river shooting in wide angle. This above, is my choice to post for the theme! I thought, too, that I would add a photo album to show the original photos I chose from and then the  crops I did afterward. As an after thought, perhaps it might be a good idea for us all to do an album in the future to show our efforts and the thinking we put into the theme. All these shots are all taken on 28mm wideangle setting.

  5. I did mine on a 23mm focal length, yet didnt seem to cover as much width as you have! I def need to invest in a 10-20mm lens!

  6. I think because you were up closer to your subject than me - in this shot of mine the other riverbank would be at least 500 meters - 1,000 meters away.

  9. Wide angel shots are one of your best techniques, I think. This one looks idyllic and it's very good for the eyes to look at, too.

An album with wide screen images sounds like a great idea!
Thank you for nice words to my entry!

  13. This is just beautiful! I love how the sky and the water are so similar in color, and the white highlights on the water and the colors of the houses, boats and trees just work together so perfectly! Great photo!
