ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful sight, to see an eagle soar!
ReplyDeleteBeutiful Keith. Now that is one of those aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww moments that will be forever in your mind , the one which for one second leaves you totally breathless and brings you to tears. We went visiting some years ago some friends with a mountain chalet, built over a gorge. I will never ever forget one early morning, hearing the fish eagle, standing on the balcony, which precariously was built out over the mountain side, I had my coffee and was looking up, could not see them , but heard them so clearly, then looked down towards the river. I was above them and they were fishing down there. I cannot describe the lump I got in my throat. Forgot even to fetch the camera just stood there quietly drinking it in.
ReplyDeleteSo majestic! Always impressive. Well done!

It's so exciting to catch a bird in flight, doubly so if it is an eagle. To me I guess they will always represent freedom. This is a wonderful reminder of how much we should cherish and guard our own freedom (s).
ReplyDeletePicture Perfect ~ Competition # 1 ~ Close To Home
Is it near the beach? LOL I had to ask it is a lovely shot but for some reason I feel if I walked over the hill I would see water!
ReplyDeleteEmpress S's Close to Home"
Lovely shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my page
nice to have a sighting of something so magnificent so close to home...
ReplyDeleteI am standing on the beach and the ocean is behind me. Your feeling is right but from the perspective of the eagle - it would glide out to the edge off the cliff and then be looking over the ocean and beach below. Once the eagle reaches the cliff area it then glides along it looking for its prey.
ReplyDeleteArent they great to watch? yet I am never able to get a clear photo of the majestic birds. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visting my harvester..http://aussiechic66.multiply.com/journal/item/390
