nice to smile eh!! yes they are well camaflaged in that tree - I had no ideqa what birds they were until I looked at the photo. I used my 400ml lens and then cropped on the computer. Wet here too and windy as!!
yes there are a few places in the world where escaped lorikeets set up colonies. I think where Lois is and Mia there are populations now. Nice to think they teamed up with another species of parrot. The Quaker parrot looks very much like a budgie - looked it up on wikki!

We have escaped ones of those here, they hang out with the Quaker parrots.
