  14. yes one of the varieties - very small maybe 1/4 - 1/3 of an inch

Yes it is - It is sort of a volcanic flow of sandstone but if you look at the Tea Tree beind Michelle you will see there too the remnants of a bushfire from a few years back that swept the headland. This is typical Australian coastal scrubland - is also why I like the photo apart from Michelle of course!! ;)

  18. This photo does not do that storm justice!! it was a Deep purple colour and very very intense! The light was strange that day - even the photo of the houses and the beach in this set had a colourin the photo I never see!

  21. it is a wattlebird or honeyeater - beautiful to watch - a fairly big bird - about the size f a thrush with a long tail but exceptionally agile when catching flyng insects and dainty when feeding on nectar - this is another of the same bird from a month or so back http://cleaunz.multiply.com/journal/item/201/The_Nature_of_the_Walk

  40. On the way to Auckland from up North, just before you get to ... oh what the hell is the place called now.? I have sat on that danged beach often enough. Oh that's it LONG BEACH. East Coast.
