Forgiveness
Sharkies Beach - The view at the end of our street.
“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
Luke 23 : 34
The most powerful of human experiences is to give or to receive forgiveness.
When we forgive .......
When we forgive .......
We choose the goodness of the other over their faults.
We experience God’s goodness flowing through ourselves.
We experience our own goodness in a way that almost surprises us.

Amen ! Thank you Keith, something we need reminding of again and again. Hugs !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo Keith.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne. Was worried for a while if I would have, and be able, to forgive the All Blacks!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mitch!!!!
ReplyDeleteReal forgiveness, never comes easily, but through a long process which can last for weeks, months..or years. I love the image you added here!
ReplyDeleteYes Amen Amalie - your words are definately so very true. Some I am still working on after many weeks, some for decades - definately hard to do and such a burdon!
ReplyDeleteThis is taken at the end of the street - it is where I take the dog every morning - so beautiful. I will be posting a reflection each day this week with photos of course. Thanks for dropping in and your comment!!
Something to look for here on Multiply, for sure!
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteCongrats for the New Zealand win Keith.
ReplyDeleteA glorious view at the end of the street.
A beautiful photo.
Great Words of wisdom here my friend.
A lovely view to have on your doorstep.
ReplyDeletehey Millli and thanks - that is where I took all the photos of the wildflowers a few weeks back - not much colour there now as you can see. Man what a nail biting finish that was but a good match - France played like France for once in this tournament and great to see the dissapointment on thier faces at the loss!!!!! :))))))))) Last week to me was the final against Australia but this week was a surprise. I did not expect France to play so well after the rest of their games in the tournament! I would have had a lotif forgiving to do if the AB's had lost!!! Not sure I could hahah
ReplyDeletehi Howard - thank you and yes it is - I see this every day and like you mentioned in your last blog - often we do not see the details of what we pass every day.
ReplyDeletethank you! :))
ReplyDeleteGreat blog Keith, lovely photo and walk for sure! As you know ACIM takes forgiveness even deeper and says that what
ReplyDeletewe really need to forgive (and then all the details will be over and done with for good) is the whole idea
that we are humans and separate from each other....
And YES, what a match it was, a real nailbiter which I think makes a lot of us forgive France for being in the finals in the first place lol...
ReplyDeleteI wish that was at the end of my street keith. It is a stunning photo.
ReplyDeleteI have learned over the years Keith that the first step in forgiveness is to forgive yourself.
ReplyDeleteYes I understand what you are saying - Christianity is 'One Body' - untill we finally realise that we are One, it is 'us and them'. It is important I agree to try and see that we are not seperate - it is our supposed, seperate journey to the common goal - to realise the Oneness we are - the Body of Christ. It is the very things we need to forgive and to be forgiven for that maintain the doubts that keep us in bondage. Forgiveness = no bond = Faith
ReplyDeletecrikey - hope that all makes sense!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes it does Keith.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Keith., I love both the photo and your musings!.It seems alot of Idol worship going on in New Zealand at the moment..but yeah..Go the AB's!
ReplyDeletethanks Shayna - yeah nice to have it there too!!
ReplyDeleteYes true enough - I think when we forgive we are in reality forgiving ourselves - I am sure you and others reading this know that it is more often the things we hate in ourselves that we cannot forgive others for - untill, as you are saying, we come to terms with our own misgivings we cannot bear to see ourselves in others . Often we cannot see that we are like others we cannot forgive.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill, So which All Black are you idolising?????? :)))))))
ReplyDeletePTL!!!! Hahahaha!!!!
ReplyDeletebEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS kEITH;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Baz!!
