Images & Words # 155 ----Earth Day

Genesis 1:10-11

Bartlets Beach, Bonny Hills, NSW. Austrailia.

And God called the dry land Earth,
and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas.
And God saw that it was good.

Then God said,
“Let the earth bring forth grass,
the herb that yields seed,
and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind,
whose seed is in itself,
on the earth”;
and it was so
.

Genesis 1

  9. It's lovely to visit your site and be met with such beauty and also with words from The Bible.

    Is the sephia effect added, or was it just pink like this?

  11. It wasat the tail end of a storm and late in the day so the sepia effect is a combination of the sun in the west creating it's red sky which is then reflected through the moisture in the air from stormy seas and vey light rain. You may notice too that in the landscpe in Australia there is a red tinge - rocks - soli and even if you look in the trees and their leaves. Morning/evening photography will often highlight it - not from red skies but just the sun - it somehow releases the reds. It is not something you see with the eye but it comes through inthe photos - particularly in the vegetation. I will seldom take photos of landscape in that part of the day unless of course that is what I am trying to capture!

    Thanks for your comment too!

  21. There was nothing touched in this shot. The redish tinge is the evenig suset behind me reflected in the salty air.
