Swift Swallow - Swooping
It took a long time and heaps of shots to get this photo of the Swallow as it swooped past under the verandah roof - the things ya do to get the shot you need - lucky it is the age of the digital camera and not paying for all the shots it took.

Nice capture. We have those too, barn swallows. Also cliff swallows in region. They are hard to capture.

swallows are very hard to capture, I don't see many here, however at my last home I did and had a few nests on my veranda LOL

Well done Keith! You can have those little buggars who pester us with nesting above our front door... lol
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I agree with you on the advantages of digital! Keep on shooting!!! Birds in flight are so hard to capture, and you have a great one here with its full wing span. Is that one behind it perched on that hook? (My bird shot was much easier to take since it was napping!)

Very well done, Keith!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine it took time to get this shot.
Who said photography was easy? It does take a lot of time to get the right shots. Birds in flight are a great challenge. I love hunting the shots when I can. Nice job. Good lighting and stop action for being under the roof.
