Just saying gidday!
Two mates fishing from one of my favourite fishing spots
I like the wave in the background in this shot

I thought to post a couple of photos I have taken in the last week or so as my way of saying a quick 'gidday'. I am still busy and not much time for photos and multiply but using what time I have for relaxing, sleep and most important time with and for Michelle and Tess. I still get out for walks of an evening so snap the odd photo - Light willing, just like these ones of locals sharing some time together on a sunday afternoon an wetting their lines. Anyway hi to all of you - miss you all but do keep up a bit with your posts even if I am not commenting much. For now God bless and will be back soon!!

The two photos are a very nice way of saying 'Gidday'! Which fish species can they normally catch over there? Take care...
ReplyDeletehey keith, always a good day if you can get some photos. The waves look great, but making me feel cold
ReplyDeleteHey Keith my friend...................I know you busy, so don't stress, at least we now and again manage to catch each other online. *smile* tx for chat the other day.
ReplyDeleteoh my, Russell peeping over shoulder, now he is going to pack his bags and go fishing, that was too much for the poor man. Great shots, he says it looks just like orange rock where the boys were fishing, must find that photo and share with you. Love those waves but those rocks are dangerous with those swells.................wait, now he wants to know what they caught.????????? why he don't get his own Multiply I do not know, he could ask you himself. LOL
ps send my love to Michelle and Tess, hope you managed to co-ordinate a day off for you all.
ReplyDeleteThe 1st pic looks very scarey love your photos and have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Keith !! Good morning!! Refreshing to see:)
ReplyDeleteI love to fish too but have not in so long. Your photos are really nice. I know the feeling about busy and doing other things. Same here. There are lots of things more important than social media. Post when you can as we enjoy your things.
ReplyDeleteGidday Keith
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos . Thanks so much for sharing them . I love to fish but never like that . Good to hear you are getting some time with family and friends and relaxing . Like James Taylor said .... the secret of life is enjoying the passage of time .
In this photo it looks like slim pickings - cannot remember seeing any overflowing bucket ut at the moment there are Salmon passing through plus the usual Bream, flathead and Tailor. With the new moon the preditor fish seem to dominate the waters so the other fish go a bit quiet but then landing one of the preditors like our local jewfish can make a fishing story that can last decades plus fill the freezer and feed a few neighburs (on condition of course that they listen to how you caught it)!! Hiya Marianne nice to see you!
ReplyDeleteHi Mate!! Nice to hear from you!! Great couple of photos there!!
ReplyDeleteHiya Sheree - nice you drop by. I prefer this type of fishing on low rocks as you have to move around a fair bit compared to sitting in one spot waiting like most other types of fishing. I can imagine in BC you would enjoy plentiful fish on your coasts too!!
ReplyDeleteHiya Lyn - it does looka bit cold but notice they have both got shorts on in mid winter!! Nice to see you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mel - they do look scary bit I waited till the waves broke in such a way as to look that way - for effect!!! Mind you we learn first and formost when fishing from rocks to never turn your back to the sea and always fish in pairs for safety because a wave can pop up out of nowhere and get ya!!
ReplyDeleteHi Marci noce to see you - enjoying the heat of summer!! Seems extra hot there this year!
ReplyDeletehello Lyn - yeah hobbies are noce but at times priorities push them to the bottom of the list. Will not be too much longer and I will be back more often!
ReplyDeleteHiya Belita - here there are many different fish. there are those that live and live off of the kelp and shellfish among the rocks - fish called blackfish and grunter plus cod and groper. Then there are the fish that come in in schools that roam up and down the coast - Bream, salmon. dartfish, flathead, leatherjacket. black drummer and whiting. Also preditor fish come in chasing the smaller fish above such as shark, tailer and Jewfish. Most Ican imaine you have not heard of as I remember not recognising most of the fish in Northern waters when I lived in Europe!
ReplyDeletehi Mitch - thanks - nice to see you too
